The purpose of MWI AG is the manufacture and sale of ignition systems, engines and machines. The company’s objective is to develop its patented, innovative microwave ignition system to the prototype stage, to be taken up as a development and competence centre and accredited partner of the OEMs and become a licenser in the OEM value-added chain. The technological challenge is in the microwave ignition which triggers an ultra-efficient combustion process in the engine and delivers a 30 percent reduction in fuel consumption with up to 30 percent lower CO2 emissions for the same motor performance.
BVB UG Venture decided to enter into a "small participating interest" in the company in 2012 before a global player stepped in to take an interest as a development partner.
The company is a producer of construction systems and components and offers varied solutions for construction. The focus is on a patented process regarding a hydraulically hardened multicomponent binder which can be used as construction and material system. This innovative material is composed of active lignite fly-ash, standardized cement as well as additives and offers the following advantages: - Hardening free of cracking and tensions
- Under water hardening
- Impermeability to water and steam (no capillary action)
- Food safe
- Recyclability without hazardous side-effects
- Compressive strength over 100 N/mm2 / bending tensile strength over 20 N/mm2
The products made from this material can be used for the stabilization of dams, surface sealing, building restoration, model making, and many more applications. Besides, there are plans to develop system solutions for the refurbishment of cisterns and to market them through a franchise concept.
