Solavis – Glass for the use of solar energy

Innovative production of special glass for the photovoltaic industry

The objective is to develop a technology platform, create an innovation concept and initiate appropriate measures for the development, production and marketing of innovative technologies and processes for the efficient production of low cost special glass for the photovoltaic industry, e.g. production and finishing processes. On the basis of detailed analyses of the strengths and weaknesses of the partners, R&D potential and the technologies, markets, competitors and demand, the aim is to determine a range of promising technological priorities. Government support for the cooperation cluster came to an end in 2012.
